The Shaman: Book Two in the Dan Stone Assassin Series
Dan is dropped into the Chihuahuan desert to assassinate the head of the Sinaloa cartel. When his extraction is botched, his mission suddenly becomes more complex and dangerous. He flees into the desert where he gets lost and death threatens. There he meets a shaman who shows him the spiritual dimension to life and how Dan is part of a larger story going on, a battle between good and evil, light and darkness. The shaman takes Dan on a spirit journey and Dan’s world suddenly gets more complicated than he ever imagined.
The Indian mystic sends Dan on an additional mission which challenges his sanity and may cost him his life. Along the way he tries to save the beautiful wife and children of the drug lord he had assassinated. Dan has to complete the tasks given him by the shaman without help from his CIA handlers and then try to make it out of the country on his own.
If you’re a fan of Jack Reacher or Mitch Rapp, you’ll enjoy Dan Stone’s adventures in this action packed thriller.
Larry –
the best Dan Stone book yet.Dan Stone is a fictional character, but America needs him now. The twists and turns but the hero always wins. I wish it was several hundred pagers longer.
Bill Swann –
Very good bookI suspect it is difficult for any author to decide what information is critical to a book or so much information that slows the pace and loses some of the readers interest. The ending of this book should be taught in writing classes. Nothing was left unexplained. It was a very good story about good vs. extreme evil, and a lots of evil guys bit the dust.

Another exciting installment!I thoroughly recommend the entire Dan Stone (Assassin Series)! The Scorpion did not miss and once picked up it is terribly difficult to put down. Adrenaline packed excitement from start to finish. As a fan of the creative twist the “Watcher’s” add to this series, I missed as much of that aspect in this episode. Hopefully, future adventures will bring back more of their mystery or maybe dive a little more into their origins and/or existence in the general population?Either way- this is a solid read and those that love a good action story will not be disappointed with this series! 5 Stars

Kept me UpI was so engrossed in the story that could not put it down until the end, way past my normal bedtime. When is the next one in the series?
